Richard Docwra

I am a writer, broadcaster and consultant who looks at the big picture - of life, human beings, politics, society and ideas. I use my academic background in psychology and philosophy and extensive experience in seeking social change to produce accessible insights, ideas and initiatives to seek a better world.

I am the author of several books including the forthcoming 'Humanise: how knowing ourselves could change the world' (Oct 2024), 'Life - and how to think about it', 'The Life Trap' and 'Modern Life - as good as it gets?'. I am also the host of podcast series including 'Humans & Hope', 'The Big Questions with Copson and Docwra' and 'Making the world better'. I have produced over 50 publications, videos and podcasts for several organisations and my articles have appeared in a range of magazines and websites.

I also have over 30 years' experience in strategy, fundraising and communications in the charity sector. I am the founder and Director of ChangeStar - a fundraising and social change agency for the not-for-profit sector, plus founder and Director of Life Squared - a not-for-profit helping hundreds of thousands of people around the world to navigate the complexity of life so they can live in a happier, wiser and more meaningful way.
